RESPONSIBILITES

  • Prepares 3D models and 2D drawings from references, sketch or based on instructions from engineer or senior designer;
  • Review drawings and material lists to check for errors, that they compliant with customer specifications and internal design standards;
  • Ensure that designs can be manufactured, are transportable and operational.  As needed, propose design improvement to reduce cost and improve quality;
  • Performs drawings revision;
  • Responsible for the execution time of his own work. Participates in schedule updates;
  • Responsible for the quality and final accuracy of his work.
  • Rigorously monitors the project from its conceptual phase to manufacturing and installation;
  • Oversees manufacturing, workshop testing, on-site installation and commissioning of systems;
  • Produces the necessary documentation regarding the use and installation of the product;

COMPETENCIES

 

  • College Technical Diploma or Attestation of Collegial Studies in mechanical engineering;
  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering;
  • Experience in 3D design;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (bending, machining, etc.);
  • Autonomous;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Fluency in French and English;
  • Experience with AutoDesk software (Inventor, Naviswork, Revit, AutoCad) (asset);
  • Practical experience in hydroelectric power plant or similar systems (asset);
