We are seeking a recent graduate with an accounting/finance background to support the review of incoming annual and interim reports, as well as various other financial documents, to identify potential non-compliance with trust accounting rules and escalate issues to the compliance coordinator/auditor, as required. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a regulatory environment while working alongside a dedicated team of compliance professionals.

The Trust Safety Department plays a vital role in achieving this goal. In alignment with LSA’s vision, mission, and strategic plan, the department manages a program that endeavors to protect the public and ensure the safety of trust property. Through the program, LSA ensures lawyers comply with LSA’s rules regarding trust and general accounts. This includes educating lawyers on their trust account responsibilities, requiring annual reporting, and conducting audits of lawyers'/law firms' prescribed financial records.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our dynamic Trust Safety Department. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in upholding the integrity of the legal profession by ensuring lawyers adhere to the trust accounting rules.
Success in this position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think critically.
