Reporting to the Credit Director, the Credit and Collections Manager oversees the operational and strategic supervision of one of the teams responsible for credit and collections. They manage, organize, and coordinate the activities of a group composed of professionals and/or unionized employees, ensuring their development and the achievement of performance objectives related to customer risk management and collections. They play a key role in implementing the vision and strategic direction of the credit department and the organization.
They actively contribute to various continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and proactive management of the customer portfolio.

Salary range 006: 95 900$ to 119 900$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
What this role entails:
Supervise, train, and evaluate team members.
Organize and coordinate the team’s activities and priorities.
Promote skill development and employee engagement.
Monitor accounts receivable regularly, identify high-risk accounts, and implement effective collection strategies.
Assess customer creditworthiness and approve risk analyses within delegated authority, or submit them to the Credit Director.
Ensure compliance with credit policies, rules, and procedures.
Perform monthly internal controls.
Produce performance reports and recommend provisions or write-offs.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Support business initiatives while protecting the organization’s financial interests.
Identify, recommend, and actively participate in continuous improvement of processes, credit and collection management tools, and the deployment of SAP and/or other digital solutions.
Act as a “super-user,” develop test plans, and support deployments.
Act as a change agent.
Assume, when needed, the responsibilities of the Credit Director during absences or vacations.

10 years of experience in credit and collections, including at least 2 years managing a team
University degree in business administration or a related field
CCP certification from the Credit Institute of Canada or an equivalent designation
Experience in the agri-food sector and/or export and credit insurance is a strong asset
Proficiency in credit risk management and financial statement analysis
Proficiency in SAP FIORI
Proficiency in customer master data management
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
Knowledge of insolvency is an asset
Experience in system and/or project implementation is an asset
Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written, essential; multilingualism is an asset
