Your Opportunity

Stantec's Buildings group provides integrated engineering solutions to institutional and commercial clients with a focus on healthcare, mission-critical facilities, transit, aviation, higher education and civic facilities that require reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams across medium to large-scale, complex projects.
  • Oversee all phases of project delivery, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget, and schedule.
  • Maintain daily communication with clients and internal teams to ensure transparency and progress.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust project schedules and budgets throughout the lifecycle.
  • Guide design development to meet client program, budget, and design intent.
  • Negotiate and develop project agreements.
  • Drive financial performance through effective budget and schedule management.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively to ensure project success.
  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Coordinators, fostering team motivation and growth.
  • Ensure timely completion and documentation of Project Management Framework tasks.
  • Lead coordination and client/site meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage change orders, contractor payments, and contractual modifications.
  • Oversee permit application processes and support dispute resolution.
  • Contribute to business development and proposal efforts.


Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proven experience in the Buildings engineering industry, from preliminary design to construction administration.
  • Familiarity with regional and municipal jurisdictional requirements.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborative approach to client and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in business development and proposal preparation.
  • Experience with Data Centre Projects preferred, including: 
  • Hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation facilities
  • MEP and structural coordination
  • Secure and high-performance computing environments

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
Minimum 10 years of experience independently managing large-scale projects.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
