The Opportunity: 2 Permanent Full-Time
Reporting directly to the Manager, Transportation Engineering, this role is responsible for the delivery of transportation planning projects including master plans and transportation studies in support of the Town’s Official Plan and secondary plans. You will also lead and manage Municipal Class Environmental Assessments (EAs), feasibility studies, and preliminary designs for transportation infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for reviewing third-party transportation plans and studies to ensure alignment with Town policies, standards, and future growth needs.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning/Engineering, Urban or Regional Planning or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has 5 to 7 years of progressive transportation planning and infrastructure experience and is licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or holds a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of transportation planning principles, environmental assessments, and municipal development processes. We are seeking an individual with superior organizational and project management skills, a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, and excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
The successful candidate for Transportation Engineer/Planner will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required).
This position offers a salary range of $103,595.84 to $129,494.80 plus a competitive benefit package.
