Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

CareKW is growing and looking for a Foot care nurse in Kitchener.

We are searching for candidates that would be available for:

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all foot care services are provided in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform ongoing foot assessments and deliver appropriate treatment.
  • Follow safe work and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Assess, anticipate, and respond to the changing needs of clients and keep Nursing lead informed
  • All required supplies are provided by CareKW.
  • Liaise with physicians and other members of the interprofessional care team to ensure client care needs are met
  • Practice within the scope of practice set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario

Role Requirements:

  • Current registration with the CNO, candidate must be in good standing
  • Must have foot care certification
  • Valid G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Valid work/study permit (if applicable)
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Complete immunization record (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B)
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector Screen (within 3 months of hire)
  • Strong documentation and clinical skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills
